The Markham Food Bank is constantly in search of volunteers as we depend solely on volunteers for all aspects of our operations. We pride ourselves as we do not have any paid positions. All cash donations go directly towards maintenance, operating supplies and purchasing low-supply items for clients.
Student Volunteers
The Food Bank welcomes student volunteers looking to fulfill secondary school requirements (or to simply make a difference in their community!). Volunteers must be at least in Grade 9 and must reside in the Markham area.
Update March 2021: We are not accepting any applications for secondary school volunteers at this time.

Please complete the volunteer application and someone will contact you. Walk in volunteers or paper applications will not be accepted.
Regular volunteer hours run every week:
Tuesday 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Thursday 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Saturday 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM
